Get Lost With Us + Bugaboo

A few months ago I became part of an epic project.  We set out with my husband, two year old daughter, two photographers, two videographers, + 3 dogs in an RV for two weeks of travel throughout the southwest.  A modern gypsy caravan of sorts.  Our trip took us from San Diego through Utah, Colorado, Texas, New Mexico, + Nevada.  We melted in Marfa and watched the snowfall in Taos a took a ton of photos and videos along the way.

As we began planning this trip we teamed up with Bugaboo, already my very favorite brand of stroller (we previously traveled with our Bugaboo Bee through Morocco, France, + Amsterdam), to use their Buffalo along the way. The Buffalo would be a perfect match for all the terrains we would encounter– national parks, dusty campsites, + city sidewalks.  You can read a bit more about my journey and experience traveling with a 2 year old over at Get Lost With, but I’ll also leave you with this sweet little video created by the guys from our team + some images via Studio Castillero

Beth + Peter. 100 Layer Cake.

Hello, gorgeous. That’s what we’re saying about today’s feature on 100 Layer Cake. Beth & Peter are New Yorkers who wanted a California beach wedding, complete with sunshine, sand, and one of our favorite color palettes yet. We recruited some of our favorites to help make this Malibu jewel-toned dream come true – couldn’t have done it without you EPlove, Honey and Poppies, Pitbulls and Posies, Hostess Haven, and Austin Hendrix Productions. Don’t take our word for it, go see all the amazing goodness for yourself!

A Bohemian Afternoon. Glitter Guide.

If your dreams are filled with golden sunshine and bohemian touches, then our recent mamas + babes shoot for Glitter Guide will have you swooning. Inspired by music festivals + the outdoors, with loads + loads of flowy dresses, moccasins, braids by 10.11 Makeup, and the most insane floral crowns by Bloom Hill that you ever did see, this one is worth spending some serious time on.

Daria + Jonathan. Green Wedding Shoes.

A whole lotta pretty happening over on Green Wedding Shoes with our Sonoma wedding from last October. With perfect florals by Brown Paper Design, the loveliest Hostess Haven tabletop, a whimsical dessert table and the cutest little flower girl to boot, this wine country wedding has us swooning all over again. A big thanks to Larissa Cleveland for the stunning images.

Meagan + Ryan. Green Wedding Shoes.

Boy, are these photos of our glamping wedding something else! So many special details, we seriously can’t stop swooning (um, hello custom gold lanterns, perfect fall leaves, and tons of lace & florals!). And don’t get us started about the crazy good light at El Capitan Canyon. Sigh. Thanks Jen for all the dreamy images 🙂 (see them all on Green Wedding Shoes.)

Industrial Woodland Wedding Shoot. 100 Layer Cake.

A moody & magical shoot inspired by Urban Outfitters & a woodland forest. Yep, you heard that right, and the result is pure pretty. Just some of the details we’re especially proud of: lots of textures + plaid + matte black + dark lips + lace + concrete + hanging metal fixtures + girly florals. Check out all the gorgeous photos shot by Megan for Studio Castillero on 100 Layer Cake! Huge shout out to root 75, 10.11 Makeup, Hostess Haven, Shel Couture and Banker’s Hill Restaurant!

Rebecca + James. Style Me Pretty.

Black + white, terrariums, and hundreds of mason jars, oh my! This Tim Burtonesque wedding we designed for rad couple Rebecca & James at SmogShoppe in L.A. is up on Style Me Pretty, and we can’t stop staring at all the gorgeous photos by rad and in love.  Plus The Little Branch florals and drop dead gorgeous hair & makeup by 10.11 Makeup? Seriously. So. Good.

Glitter Guide Holiday Shoot.

We were thrilled to get to work with Glitter Guide again and knew exactly what we wanted to create the moment we started brainstorming!  A winter white fantasy world.  With unicorns as our inspiration we were off and running.  We layered the tables in texture of sequins, ruffles, and faux fur.  Candlelight and metallics were added to give the table a reflective quality and then we made 8 custom crowns for each of our models.  What a fun day.  Here’s a glimpse and even more will be on Glitter Guide today.

Stacy & Adam.

Designing this one was a crazy amount of fun.  The bride had a crazy amount of love for Free People which meant big & tiny dream catchers, afghans, tie-dyed linens & 60’s wallpaper.  Check out the rest of the images on Green Wedding Shoes & Studio Castillero’s blog.
